AUM - The Primordial Sound
AUM 🕉 ( often misspelt Om) - you’ve most likely heard of this sound. AUM is the root of all mantras in the Indian system. It is said to be the base sound of creation, reverberating throughout the cosmos, beyond the radar of most people’s perception. Funnily enough, it is the only sound that does not require the movement of the tongue.
WARNING: Chanting mantras is more than just repeating a random sound. These sounds will reverberate your system in specific ways, and will cause shifts in your consciousness. Be ready for unexpected things to unfold and your view of reality to shift.
If you have little to no experience in chanting - AUM is the best place to start. Once you get the hang of it ( daily chanting for 1 month ) you can move onto more complex and targeted mantras.
How to Chant
Satya Ji explains the significance of chanting and how to chant with the proper attitude and mindset in this video. Please do not skip to the instructions at the end, or you will miss most of the magic. When chanting (or doing any practice) the reverence and motivation with which you do it is just as important as pronouncing it correctly. Enjoy 🙏🏽
